Bullseyes:
2000–2016

Bullseyes is a nearly decade long study on targets. The artist explores the repeated targeting of his work and place in the community. Through wood, paint, and mixed media, Tran reiterates obsessively the quiet violence of the bullseye, those specifically placed on the artist, and in response builds hundreds of targets, hundreds of eyes that impart the collective sense of being framed, contained, and silenced.
